With new multi-family residential and commercial retail and Public Park erect along D Street since 2010, D Street is the new main artery in the City of Perris. D Street needed to be widened but City also encourages less vehicle and more pedestrian accessible. United Civil, Inc. is contracted with City of Perris to provide street improvement design for D Street from 6th to 10th Street as part of redevelopment for the new Downtown area. The design incorporated landscaping features on the road and sidewalk. Decorative paving is proposed at street intersections. Color stamped concrete paving are proposed for sidewalks. Tree planter islands are proposed on both sides of D Street for streetscape. Street furniture and street light poles are decorative. United Civil, Inc. also serves as project manager for City during the bidding and construction stages.
